Heat water to ninety-four.

Two degrees below boil. Hotter extracts bitterness faster than it extracts sweetness. Cooler stalls the extraction curve.

Pour with a gooseneck. Slowly.

Stream diameter ≈ 3mm. A thick pour drills channels through the bed and shortcuts extraction. A thin spiral saturates evenly.

The grind setting is the fastest lever you have. If the cup is thin, grind finer by one mark. If it's bitter, grind coarser. Never touch two variables at once.
